Jose Hernandez
Salseros LA Founder
Jose Hernandez grew up on the island of Cozumel Quintana Roo, Mexico. Eventually, his family moved to Acapulco, where he started dancing and performing in a production called El Baile de La Iguana at a young age. As he progressed, his interest and talents grew into music, acting, classic Mexican folklore, and state-level competition.
After moving to the US, Jose began to train with some of the best salsa champions in the greater Los Angeles area. His talents were immediately recognized, and he has performed in some of the best LA salsa dance teams. He went on to win first prize in a prestigious salsa event in Palm Springs.
Jose loves to teach salsa as much as he loves to perform. Having been formally educated as an Electromechanical Engineer and Graphic Designer, he uses his artistic talent to instruct his students on the necessary techniques that will allow them to understand and enjoy salsa dancing. His students respect and admire his ability to infuse them with his energy, expertise, and passion.
